As the first mezcal in the United States produced by a female “Maestra Mezcalera,” Mariana Rivera Hernadez, we celebrate breaking boundaries and championing gender equality in the mezcal industry.

Mariana Rivera Hernandez
Mariana Rivera Hernadez is a trailblazer, being the first female Maestra Mezcalera in the United States. Her expertise and passion for mezcal are evident in every bottle of Bendito Mito. Mariana brings a fresh perspective and unwavering dedication to the craft, ensuring that each batch of mezcal maintains the highest standards of quality and authenticity.
Don Aaron Alva Sanchez
Joining Mariana is “Don” Aaron Alva Sanchez, a fourth-generation Maestro Mezcalero. Aaron's family has been perfecting the art of mezcal for over a century, and his knowledge and experience are invaluable to our production process. Together, Mariana and Aaron combine innovation with tradition to create a truly unique and exquisite mezcal.
Gustavo Gelover
Gustavo Gelover brings over 30 years of luxury hospitality experience to Bendito Mito. With a passion for creating memorable food and beverage experiences, Gustavo has worked for prestigious brands such as St. Regis, Mandarin Oriental, and The Ritz-Carlton. His extensive experience includes successful hotel openings and developing innovative food and beverage programs. Gustavo's vision and leadership are instrumental in shaping Bendito Mito into a premium mezcal brand. From developing the acclaimed restaurant Moments in Barcelona to collaborating with world-renowned Chef Jean Georges Vongerichten, his contributions have been recognized globally. Now, as an entrepreneur, Gustavo is dedicated to bringing Bendito Mito's authentic mezcal to the U.S. market, ensuring every bottle reflects the brand's commitment to tradition, quality, and sustainability.
